Today's Animal of the Day is the Lumpsucker, aka the Lumpfish, which is found in the cold waters of the northern Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic Oceans. These fish are so named because their bodies are fat and lumpy, and they use adhesive pelvic discs to latch onto surfaces. Since they are so fat and lumpy, they are terrible swimmers and spend most of their lives sitting on the ocean floor, moving slowly and being fat. In turn, they feed on other creatures that just sit on the ocean floor and be fat, such as bristle worms, crustaceans and mollusks.
They are pretty ugly and yet kind of cute since they're so round. I can only hope that this is also what women think of me.
